We are nestled in a great little anchorage just west of Spanish Wells, Eleuthra. It is a well protected harbour under development, but still accessible.

The winds were going to be strong out of the north - north west so we decided to sail on the sound side of the Exuma island chain. The flats are 8 - 12 feet deep. On the Exuma Sound the water goes to 3 - 5 thousand feet just a mile offshore.

After leaving Warderick Wells, we sailed south to the community of Black Point Settlement on Great Guana Cay in the Exumas.

Arrived in time for happy hour on Friday. No marine stores open. Had a drink.

We topped up the water, pumped the holding tank and finished stowing supplies. We motored out of Boot Key Marina to the Hawk Channel, the same area we broke our rudder, almost a month earlier.
